Helen Beltrame-Linné

Screenwriter

 

Majored in Law (USP) and Cinema by Sorbonne (Paris), Helen acted as a film critic for Folha de S.Paulo, was editor at the Rio Festival and collaborator of the São Paulo International Film Exhibition. In 2014, she took over the direction of the Bergman Center Foundation and the Bergman Week Festival, moving to the island of Fårö, Sweden.

In 2018, returned to Brazil to be editor-in-chief of Folha de S.Paulo and currently works as a screenwriter and script consultant, focusing on fiction series and feature films.

She has just finished adapting the screenplay from the novel "O Homem que Amava Cachorros", by Leonardo Padura, a Spanish-US co-production directed by José Padilha. Recently made a script consulting for the project "5X Comédia" (2021), a Monique Gardenberg series co-produced by Viacom Studios and Amazon Brazil. She is Script Editor of the Torino Film Lab (with Paradiso Scholarship in 2020) and Fiction Mentor of the Full Circle Lab, two programs co-financed by Creative Media, an european audiovisual agency. Helen is writing a new feature film, still in secrecy.
