Anne Pinheiro Guimarães

Anne Pinheiro Guimarães is a director and screenwriter. After her master's degree in history at the Sorbonne in France, Anne then began her studies in the seventh art, focusing on film direction and screenplay. Back in Brazil, she began her career in the national industry. Her first short film, Desejo, starring Wagner Moura and Lázaro Ramos, went through important national and international festivals, winning recognition and being a finalist in the AXN Latin America award.

In television, she directed four episodes of the GNT series As Canalhas, and was creator, screenwriter and director of the series Desnude alongside Carolina Jabor, an anthology in nine episodes that explores and deconstructs female sexuality. She was general director of the series Nós from Canal Brasil, launched in 2020 and directed alongside Olívia Guimarães the Desjuntados series, original Amazon released in October 2021. Her first feature film Transe, also co-directed with Carolina Jabor, is about to launch.
