Giovanni Venturini is an actor and screenwriter who graduated from the Instituto de Cinema.

He starred in the short film ''Big Bang'' (2022, directed by Carlos Segundo), for which he won the Best Actor award at the Brasília Film Festival. In the same year, the short film was also awarded Best Short Film at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, Cine Ceará and Panorama Coisa de Cinema.

He has also acted in several national films, such as the award-winning ''Veneza'' (2020, directed by Miguel Falabella), ''A Sogra Perfeita'' (2020, directed by Cris D'Aamato) and ''Maior que o Mundo'' (2020, directed by Roberto Marquez).

Between series and soap operas, he was in the cast of ''Chuva Negra'' (2023, Canal Brasil), ''O Rei da TV'' (2022, Star+), ''Os Ausentes'' (2020, HBO Max), ''Sonhos de Abu'' (2015, Canal Brasil), ''Confissões Médicas'' (2018, Discovery), among others.

On stage since 2019, he has toured many cities performing his monologue ''A não ser'' (directed by João Paulo Bienemann). He was part of the cast of "Brian or Brenda?" (2019) directed by Yara de Novaes and Carlos Gradim. He was directed by Clarisse Abujamra in 2014 in a version of Ibsen's classic "Casa de Bonecas".

In advertising, he has worked for groups such as Renault, Sky, Honda, Toyota, Urban Arts and Itaú.

He taught the workshop "Dramaturgy - Reframing the aesthetics of circus bodies" at Itaú Cultural. He also taught the course "Non-normative characters" at the Vozes Diversas Museum. He has given two lectures at the University of Georgia in the United States: "Theater of the Portuguese-Speaking World" and "Heavenly Body: A Conversation with Brazilian Actor and Poet Giovanni Venturini". Whether in performances or writing, Giovanni always brings up the discussion of being a disabled body, and outside the established aesthetic standards.
