Célio Porto

Screenwriter

 

Célio Porto is a screenwriter and developed feature films for the cinema, such as O Auto da Mentira, by José Eduardo Belmonte, Carlinhos e Carlão, by Pedro Amorim and Desculpe o Transtorno, by Tomas Portella. He worked on the series Mister Brau (Globo), Louco Por Elas (Globo) and O Fantástico Mundo de Gregório (Multishow), considered Best Humor series in 2012 by O Globo. Celio wrote the script for a new feature film, is the creator and head of a new series for streaming, to be filmed soon and is developing two other series.

In the theatre, he was the author of the play Tio, directed by Débora Lamm. In addition to working as a screenwriter, Célio worked on a doctoring for Isso a Globo Não Mostra and spent a few years developing projects of humor series, within other projects, at Globo. Célio has two roles as an actor in the short films Dois menos dois, in which he was also co-director, and Laços, in which he was also a producer, which took place at the Sundance festival in 2008 and won the award for best short film in the contest Project: Direct of Youtube.
